Our potatoes come from the best fields on the Iberian Peninsula and are cultivated by our highly experienced farmers with whom we have been working with for over 30 years.
The potatoes are stored in our facilities under ideal conditions for their preservation while waiting to begin the elaboration process.
The elaboration starts with peeling. Afterwards the sprouts are removed, leaving the potatoes without impurities and ready for washing.
The potatoes are cut into slices so that they have the proper thickness and achieve maximum flavor and a crunchy texture.
The slices fall onto a conveyer belt that transports them to the fryer while they drain the excess water that they may have accumulated.
During this process the potatoes are fried for an estimated time while being stirred constantly by hand to ensure the consistency and maximum quality of the final product.
This phase allows the potatoes to drain any excess oil from being fried and prepare them for salting.
Once fried, our potatoes are seasoned with just the right amount of salt which is the perfect complement to its delicious flavor.
Once fried and salted the potatoes need to cool down before proceeding and therefore require some time for cooling.
Our best hands are responsible for selecting and removing those potato chips that fail to meet the stringent quality standards set by Torres.
Once the elaboration process is complete and the potato chips are ready for consumption, they are then bagged according to bag type.
Finally, they will be placed into their corresponding cases and ready for sale.
